Unfortunately we lost the yellow male within the first 24 hours. Infant mortality in the wild occurs often, but when it happens to you, it is devastating.  Breeders go through a lot in the process of improving their lines and some do not let the public know what happens, because it is so sad.  I want the public to know that occasionally this happens and it is out of our control, that is nature.  If you are thinking about breeding, you need to ask yourself if you can deal with this kind of loss.  This is one of the reasons some breeders do not stay in the business very long.  Now it is time to focus on the living.  Here's to better days!

3 weeks old!!

Development:  They are getting their teeth in, starting to jump around, growl, and bark!
Care:  They were wormed again, still getting their toenails trimmed, a lot of handling, more time in the house.  They have been introduced to grass, although I did not take any photos of that.

What toys?
Here is a video of what the pups did when I dangled some toys for them to play with...

Now I added a learning tool for them to play with....

Now this has to be the CUTEST VIDEO EVER!!!!!

4 weeks old

Development:  The puppies are learning to follow and come when called.  They are getting more mobile all the time.  They are hopping around, but have not yet learned how to run.
Care:  They were wormed, and continue to get their nails trimmed.  They are now out of the whelping box and into a larger area where they can go in and out of the kennel building.  They now have a slide, kuranda bed, tunnel, and blocks to climb on.  They spend some time in the outside puppy yard with grass and a different side and stairs.  They still spend time inside the house and love it when the pack goes by their pen to go outside.
