born: April 2, 2017

1 Y  female, 3 B females, 1 Y male, 4 B males
Cookie was a great whelper and delivered her pups in just a few hours!  She has been producing a lot of milk and the pups are growing fast!  We hope you enjoy watching these pups grow!

Yep, they are all there! Can you find them?

Picture
The pups look red due to the heat lamp.  Puppy pink girl is in the front and her brother maroon is in the back.  See how their black pigment has not come in at this stage?  That will occur as they age.

Proud momma Cookie!

When they are first born they are all body and head with little legs!

Ok, this is short but turn up your volume so you can hear the pups!
I know, cute! Right?

One day old!

Pups had a drop of wormer today and Momma was wormed as well.  You will find that I worm quite often because it is important that the worms do not compromise the pup's growth.  Worms may lay dormant in the bitch, but as soon as she provides milk they can be transmitted to the pups.

Compare this to when they were born.  They are growing quite a bit already!

This one just makes me laugh because this is Cookie's favorite sleeping position!

Three days old!

We began the biosensor program, or early neurological stimulation program, today which will continue
through day 16! The pups are held in multiple positions, given tactile stimulation, and placed on a cool wet cloth to activate the neurological system by adding stress.  This activates the neurological system which would not normally occur this early in life.  Benefits of the program are improved cardiovascular performance, stronger heart beats and adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease.

Sorry about the clarity, I did not notice that at 10pm when we took the photo.

It may take me awhile to update the website, but hang in there, I take lots of photos and such and I would rather spend time playing with pups than updating the site.  So....back to the pups!
